So, a squid the size of a mini bus has gone under the microscope. Okay, not literally, but after eight months scientists in New Zealand were able to thaw the squid to carefully examine this monstrous sea creature. For that reason, I will remain living in the Central Okanagan, where…wait a second….the Ogopogo lives…
All in the name of fashion! I originally saw this as a tweet, and someone replied to it: “Sooo cute!” Whaa? I understand fashion has to be bold, edgy, new—but feather dusters? I mean, they are practical—if they were sold in the cleaning department at the grocery story for $6.99; I would definitely buy a pair. My floors are always dusty.

Well here’s something to cheer about! It still kind of boggles me that the first woman to be deployed into the RCMP was only 40 years ago. It took a 94-year-old organization 54 years to accept its first female officer. It really shows that the advancement of women in all types of work industries is really quite new. I for one am really thankful of where we stand today, even though there is more work that needs to be done.
